Reissue a Survey

Reissuing A Survey

An existing survey can be re-assigned to another surveyor by using the 'reissue' function.

Reissue survey

  1. Go to the View Surveys screen
  2. Click the 3 dots icon to the left of the survey you wish to reassign
  3. Select Reissue
  4. Select the surveyor's name from the drop down menu
  5. Click the check box if you wish to reset all room statuses to 'not started' (further guidance below)
  6. Click Confirm to finish

Should I click the checkbox to reset the room statuses to 'Not Started'?
  • If you are reissuing a new survey, the rooms will already be in a status of Not Started, so ignore the checkbox.
  • If you are reissuing a survey that has already been started by one surveyor and is being reassigned to another surveyor to complete, then it would be best not to click the check box. The second surveyor would want to see the rooms that have been completed by the first surveyor.
  • If the survey has been completed, and the survey is being reissued so that the building can be fully re-surveyed, then click the checkbox to reset the room statuses to Not Started. This will ensure the surveyor can see the rooms they have surveyed as they go (rooms change from Not Started, to In-progress, and finally to Complete).

Note: Surveys can be set up with no surveyor assigned, and then reassigned to the relevant surveyor when required. This allows surveys to be set up in advance, without being issued to a surveyors device.

Warning: If you reissue a survey from one surveyor to another when a survey is in-progress, there is a risk that some survey data will be stranded on the original surveyor's device. This could occur if the original surveyor has been working offline and data has not fully synced. To avoid this, ensure the surveyor is online and has fully synced their survey before reissuing the survey.
