Surveyor Guidance

The Surveyor Guidance feature allows bespoke text to be assigned at asset level, which will show in the mobile app when a surveyor captures an asset. This can be used to ensure consistency of approach between surveyors, and help them understand the requirements for data capture.

Surveyor Guidance

Surveyor Guidance is populated in the Asset Taxonomy. To set up Surveyor Guidance:

  1. Go to Asset Taxonomies > Add
  2. Click 'Download Asset Taxonomy Template'
  3. Populate the Surveyor Guidance column with text against each asset row
  4. Upload the completed taxonomy, and assign it to a survey.
  5. The Surveyor Guidance will be shown in the asset screen of the mobile app.

Tip: Surveyor Guidance can be used for many things, including:
  • Levels you want the surveyor to capture an asset at (e.g. room/floor/building)
  • Specifics you want surveyors to observe or record (e.g. look for leaking seals, or excessive vibration)
  • Actions you want surveyors to take (e.g. take photo of data plate)
  • Test the operation of an asset (e.g. check for free movement of sash window, and locks work)
  • Costing guidance (e.g. apply provisional sum for investigation works)
  • Checks for certain asset types (e.g. fire door hinges, gaps, vision panels, etc)
