Syncing Survey Data
Overview
Asseticom is designed to operate both online and offline, however it is important to connect to the internet regularly to ensure you receive any surveys that have been assigned to you, and to upload any survey data that has been collected while offline.
When working offline all the data and images that are captured will be stored locally on your mobile device. If you lose your mobile device, or uninstall the Asseticom app before syncing your surveys, the data will be lost. This is why we advise connecting to the internet regularly, just in case.
'Syncing', or “synchronising data” is when you connect to the internet to allow the survey data to be uploaded from your device into the centralised database (cloud). The app will automatically sync data when connected to the internet (via mobile data or wifi), so you just need to connect to the internet for this to happen.
Photo Icons
Icons will appear next to each asset and room if captured by the surveyor. Where no image has been captured or the survey has not been synchronised, the following icons will be shown.
