Multi-surveyor Surveys

Surveys can be assigned to one or more surveys to enable collaborative working. All surveyors contribute to the same survey document, and have visibility of their colleague's progress. The main surveyor is responsible for the entire survey, and will need to submit the final completed survey once the additional surveyors have completed theirs.

Assigning multiple surveyors to a survey

When adding a new survey, select the 'Main Surveyor' from the dropdown list of surveyors within that portal.
Add additional surveyors by selecting the checkboxes for the relevant surveyors. Up to 5 additional surveyors can be selected.

Tip: The Main Surveyor is responsible for the entire survey, so select your lead surveyor in the role of 'Main Surveyor' when setting up a survey.

Multi-surveyor workflow

Additional surveyors must all complete their surveys before the main surveyor can mark the survey as complete. If the main survey completes their survey first, it will still remain on their device until additional surveyors have completed their surveys, at which point the main surveyor can mark it as complete.

Monitoring other surveyors' progress

In the mobile app the status of each room is visible for yourself and for others. This allows you to monitor which rooms have been completed by other, to avoid overlaps or missing areas.
Assets collected by others will be visible within the rooms.

Note: The room status of other surveyors will only update if both you and they are connected to the internet. Assets collected by others will only be visible if they and you have connected to the internet.

Completing a survey

Please note; Individual surveyor completion statuses are separate from the overall survey status.

Each surveyor must mark their own survey activities as Completed once their work is finished.
If the Main Surveyor marks their activities as Completed before the other surveyors have finished, their individual status will show as complete, but the survey itself will remain incomplete.
Once all surveyors have marked their activities as Completed, the Main Surveyor must reopen the survey, save it, and mark it as Complete.
Only the Main Surveyor can complete the survey.
The survey will only display as Completed in the web portal after all surveyor statuses are Completed and the Main Surveyor has performed the final save and complete action.
