Adding floorplan markers to a survey
Adding floorplan markers to a survey
Adding floorplans and floorplan markers to a survey significantly speed up the survey, and support the surveyor with navigation within the building. The floorplan markers will change colour according to the status of the room, allowing multiple surveyors working on the same survey to see how their colleagues are progressing.
- When setting up a new survey go to the stage 5 and import a room schedule. This is a list of rooms to include in the survey. If you are importing assets, the room names will be detected from there.
- Go to stage 6 and upload a floorplan for each floor (pdf or jpg format)
- Either double click on each room to allocate a room from the list, or click 'Suggest Markers'.
- To accept AI marker suggestions either click the tick icon on each marker individually (or click the cross to decline), or click 'Apply all' in the side bar.
- Check whether all rooms have been allocated in the top left corner (e.g. '19/20 rooms marked')
- Once finished, click 'Next'.
- To manually add a marker, double click on the floorplan, and select a room name from the list.
- To remove a marker, click on the pin then click 'Remove Marker' in the side panel.
- To see the room names on each marker, enable the 'Show room label on markers' toggle.
- Scroll to zoom in/out of the floorplan.
- Click the 'expand' button in the bottom right corner to enable full screen mode.
- Drag markers to reposition them.
- Markers can be hidden, made transparent, or only unassigned visible to help when assigning a complex floorplan.
- Click the '?' button in the top right corner to see all controls and shortcuts.
Note: The accuracy of the AI marker suggestions is based on the quality of the floorplan and similarity of room names/references to the room schedule. A confidence rating (high, medium, low) is given to indicate the perceived accuracy.
