# Project Portal - Duplicate Surveys

# Duplicate Surveys

When setting up new surveys it can be quicker to simply duplicate a previous survey. 

|| Note: Duplicating a survey will create a new version of the original, including the taxonomy and form field settings, the room schedule and floorplans (including room markers). 

|| Note: Imported assets will not be duplicated

|| Note: Surveys can be duplicated irrespective of their status (e.g. whether they are Not Started, In Progress or Completed)

### Duplicate a survey
1. Go to the **View Surveys** screen
2. Click the **3 dots icon** to the left of the survey you wish to duplicate
3. Select **Duplicate**
4. Enter the relevant details (survey name, site, building, etc), click **next**
5. Continue to click **next** through the set-up stages to review (and edit if required) each aspect of the survey.
6. Click **Confirm** to finish.

| Tip: Even if you want to create a survey that is not identical to previous surveys, the Duplicate Survey function can be used. The survey can be modified when reviewing each section in the set-up stages.
